Founder & Head Coach

I started playing house league hockey when I was 7 years old with the Etobicoke Bulldogs as the year went on I started to fall in love with the game of hockey. The following years moving up to select, A, AA, and then finally making that jump to AAA in grade 8 for the Toronto Jr Canadians. As all kids do, I had the dream of being a professional hockey player. But did I know how much skills, work, and training was involved? Absolutely not. That's why I want to help your kids have that step ahead and compete.

Fast forward to three years after playing AAA I was drafted into the OHL by the Saginaw Spirit. I quickly jumped to play in the OJHL the season following due choosing to go the NCAA route to get my education. I received a full scholarship to Clarkson University to play hockey. In 2017 1 was drafted in the 6th round to the Vegas Golden Knights.

After my 4 year of my college career I went on to sign my first professional contract with the lowa Heartlanders of the ECHL who are an affiliate of the Minnesota Wild.

Playing two seasons in the ECHL, I have transitioned to professional hockey overseas playing 1 season in Italy, and now currently in my fourth year of pro hockey, playing in Czechia.

I feel it is important to be able to give back to kids and help them reach there highest potential and their dreams/goals like I once had growing up as a kid.

Why Wasaga Area? I want to grow the game of hockey for kids in the area and help them in all ways I can.

Services for Next Up development have begun since the spring of 2024 and continue throughout the summer to come!

I’ve been part of the hockey world since I was four years old, and the game has shaped who I am both on and off the ice. I grew up playing AA hockey throughout my youth, including four years of boys’ AA hockey, experiences that challenged me to compete at a high pace and develop resilience, confidence, and a strong work ethic. I later spent three years playing in the Provincial Women’s Hockey League (PWHL), the highest level of junior hockey for women at the time.

My hockey journey continued at the collegiate level at SUNY Canton, where I played for four years and took pride in being a leader on and off the ice. Competing at the college level helped shape my understanding of teamwork, accountability, and what it truly means to commit to personal and team growth.

After retiring from competitive hockey, I knew I wanted to stay connected to the game in a meaningful way. Growing up, I didn’t always have access to structured development or resources, and much of my learning came through experience and perseverance. That journey is what drives my passion for giving back. Today, I’m proud to help run our programs, manage operations, and support our athletes by creating the type of development environment I once wished for—one that is welcoming, supportive, and focused on helping players grow both as athletes and as people.
